Instructions

  • Begin this recipe by cleaning your apple and use an apple corer or very sharp knife to remove the core.
  • Slice the apple in half and set aside.
  • Open your Safe Catch Elite Tuna and flake it in the can to reabsorb those natural juices and nutrients, then add a bowl.
  • Add mayo, Dijon mustard, and balsamic vinegar and mix together evenly.
  • Next, add the minced red onions, parsley, and chopped walnuts and combine well, creating the perfect balsamic tuna salad.
  • Divide your balsamic tuna salad evenly into each apple half by scooping a portion onto each apple.
  • Top with chopped walnuts, any garnishes, and enjoy!

SERVING SUGGESTION

These boats are kid friendly too! Instead of coring the apple and slicing it down the middle, core the apple and slice horizontally making small, round “plates” for the balsamic tuna salad to sit upon.
