Tuna and Avocado Salad Lettuce Boats

Ingredients

  • 2 Cans Safe Catch Elite Wild Tuna
  • 1 Ripe Avocado
  • 6 Cherry Tomatoes
  • 1 Head Romaine Lettuce
  • ¼ Cup Slivered Almonds, toasted
  • 1 Lemon
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

  • Medium Mixing Bowl
  • Chef’s Knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Measuring Cups

Instructions

  1. Separate 6 romaine lettuce leaves, rinse and shake off residual water
  2. Open each can of Safe Catch Elite Wild Tuna (Do not drain), flake with a fork until all liquid is absorbed by the tuna, empty into a medium mixing bowl
  3. Knife Work: Halve lemon and juice into medium mixing bowl, peel and cube one avocado into bowl
  4. Gently fold ingredients until all are combined
  5. Salt & pepper to taste
  6. Spoon avocado tuna salad into romaine lettuce leaves
  7. Sprinkle toasted almond on top of tuna salad
